The uvex surge aero MIPS sets new standards in aerodynamics, airflow and safety. This racing helmet was developed in cooperation with riders from Team Intermarché-Wanty and former professionals from the international cycling world. The aerodynamic cover, fitted as standard, partially covers the large ventilation openings, significantly reducing air resistance. When ventilation becomes the priority, the cover can be easily removed, making this helmet two-in-one. The multi-inmould construction with an integrated protective cage increases stability while keeping the weight competitive. The Mips® Air Node safety system provides additional brain protection – an ultra-lightweight layer integrated into the liner absorbs rotational and centrifugal forces in the event of an impact. A practical extra: an integrated channel for sunglasses. The uvex surge aero MIPS – a top-class helmet created by professionals, for professionals.

Technologies:

Multi-inmould technology:Permanently bonded shell with an inner EPS layer and multiple outer polycarbonate layers. This advanced technology combines the hardshell construction of the upper part of the helmet with the inmould technology of the lower part. It optimally combines hardshell and inmould technology.

MIPS Air Node system:This system is lighter than any previous uvex product. Thanks to the airflow inside the helmet, it feels as though you are not wearing a helmet at all, but only additional protection. MIPS Air was designed to reduce rotational forces on the head in certain cases of angled impact. A sliding layer whose inner part is connected to the inner shell by means of hook-and-loop fasteners. In the event of a fall, the fasteners detach and allow rotation.

uvex IAS 3D Pro:This technology uses the IAS 3D solution to provide an ideal fit and comfort while reducing weight.
