The POC Dimension Avalanche Backpack is an avalanche backpack equipped with the Alpride E2 electronic airbag system, which provides additional buoyancy during an avalanche.
Equipped with an Alpride E2 airbag for added protection in high-avalanche zones, the Dimension Avalanche backpack combines enhanced safety with multiple carrying options, so you can easily carry all your kit for a day in the mountains.
The backpack's airbag is powered by a supercapacitor, meaning no gas cartridges or batteries are required, making it hassle-free for air travel. It also gives you the opportunity to test the airbag's performance before heading out into the field. The avalanche airbag is designed to increase your chances of survival in an avalanche. Powered by a supercapacitor, it charges quickly, is temperature-insensitive, can be deployed repeatedly, and fully inflates in under 4 seconds.
The backpack is made of highly durable and waterproof 4-layer laminated VX21 fabric, and is completed with waterproof zippers to keep everything inside dry.
The large exterior pocket, specifically designed for avalanche tools, is lined with highly durable Cordura to prevent damage and tears. A separate goggle pocket is fleece-lined to prevent lens damage.
This POC avalanche backpack has a 25L capacity and multiple external ski and snowboard carry loops. A detachable, two-position helmet pocket and a front ice axe loop make it easy to carry essentials off-piste.
The adjustable back design makes it easy to find a comfortable fit, while highly adjustable chest and waist straps ensure complete security. The backpack also features compression straps.
Small drainage holes in the outer pocket ensure that water from wet gloves or skins can easily escape, while keeping the rest of the gear in the backpack dry.
The RECCO® reflector helps emergency services locate you quickly and easily if something goes wrong, while the twICEme® NFC Medical ID makes it easy to read your stored data using an NFC-enabled smartphone.
