K2 ROUTE orange ski helmet

K2 Route Ski Helmet

K2 Route is an exceptionally lightweight and versatile helmet designed for skiers, snowboarders, and enthusiasts of ski touring and freeride. Weighing just 320 g, it combines protection, comfort, and functionality that is particularly useful during all-day mountain trips. Importantly, the Route is certified for both winter sports and cycling, making it suitable for year-round use.

The lightweight In-Mold construction is created by directly bonding the shock-absorbing EPS layer to the outer polycarbonate shell. This reduces the helmet’s weight without compromising an appropriate level of protection. The low weight is especially noticeable during long ascents and ski touring activities.

Thermal comfort is provided by the Passive Channel Venting system. Channels inside the EPS layer direct airflow between the head and the helmet, helping to remove excess heat and moisture. This solution works well during intense exertion, when effective ventilation is particularly important.

The 360 BOA® Fit System enables precise, micro-adjustable helmet fit adjustment using a dial. The all-around construction helps distribute pressure evenly and achieve a stable fit. The helmet is also equipped with removable ear pads and detachable mounts for goggles and a headlamp, allowing its configuration to be adapted to the type of activity and current conditions.

The set also includes the PowFly Helmet Cover – a waterproof and breathable cover worn over the helmet, providing additional protection against snow, wind, and adverse weather conditions.
