K2 Instrument is a snowboard created precisely for riders like these – intuitive, responsive and ready for anything the day brings.

Thanks to its Directional Camber profile and Volume Shift™ technology, the snowboard offers exceptional stability and control on hard-packed runs while maintaining the ideal balance between agility and smooth handling. The wider shape improves edge hold and makes it easier to carve precise arcs even on harder snow.

The longer radius in the nose allows for a smoother turn initiation, while the deeper sidecut underfoot guarantees excellent grip during dynamic edge riding. With a 3/4-inch setback and a 10-millimeter taper, the Instrument performs equally well in deep powder, providing smooth float over the snow.

Underneath, you will find a hard and fast Sintered 4000 base that holds wax longer and guarantees high speeds throughout the day.

Construction and technologies:

• S1 Core – a combination of bamboo, aspen and paulownia creates the ideal balance between flexibility and durability. Bamboo reinforcements running from nose to tail add spring, while lightweight paulownia reduces weight. Aspen and bamboo wood underfoot, set at a 30° angle, improve power transfer and edge control.

• ICG™ 10 Biax Carbon Glass – carbon fibers running the full length of the snowboard increase its pop and energy without making the construction excessively stiff.

• Carbon Torque Forks™ – carbon fibers spreading at a 45° angle from the inserts toward the nose and heel increase responsiveness, stability and steering precision at high speeds.

• Hybritech™ Sidewalls – K2’s unique construction combines sidewalls with a cap construction in the nose and tail. This enables better energy transfer, greater durability and reduced production waste.

• Volume Shift™ – a technology that changes the snowboard’s surface proportions by shifting volume from the nose and heel toward the center. It allows the snowboard’s length to be reduced by 4–10 cm compared to the standard size without sacrificing float or stability.

• Sintered 4000 Base – a fast, durable base that absorbs wax exceptionally well, providing greater speed and long-lasting performance.
