K2 Almanac – a versatile snowboard for every riding style
The K2 Almanac is a unisex snowboard designed for intermediate and advanced riders who want one board for the entire mountain – from groomed runs to powder, freeride and freestyle. Thanks to its Directional construction and Combination Camber (Rocker/Camber/Rocker) profile, the Almanac combines the power and edge hold of camber with the smoothness and lightness of rockers. This allows for smooth transitions between turns and very good flotation in soft snow. The model features the Volume Shift™ system, which means the snowboard has a wider waist than average, while the surface underfoot has been increased at the expense of nose and tail length – making the board more maneuverable despite its wide shape.
Technologies and product features
-
BAP Core – a blend of sustainably sourced wood (bamboo, aspen and paulownia) that provides lightness, liveliness and vibration damping.
-
Carbon Backbone™ – a carbon-fiber insert running from nose to tail, adding pop and energy for takeoffs and ollies while providing a faster edge response.
-
Fast and durable Sintered 4000 Base – a sintered base that absorbs wax well and provides good glide in a variety of conditions.
-
Biax Glass laminate – bi-directional glass fibers arranged at a 90° angle, adding torsional flex and giving the board a predictable and enjoyable response across varied terrain.
-
Hybritech™ construction – removal of unnecessary sidewall material at the nose and tail, combined with a 3D capped edge to increase durability and reduce swing weight, improving the board’s maneuverability and lightness.Profile: Rocker/Camber/Rocker – camber underfoot with partial rocker at the nose and tail, allowing better flotation in soft snow and faster turn initiation.
-
Shape: Directional – the board has a directional character, ideal for riding in one direction, while still offering the option of riding switch depending on conditions and preference.
-
Volume Shift™ – a wider waist and a set-back or aggressive nose/tail shape provide balanced support underfoot, maintaining flotation even with a shorter length. When choosing the board, it is often recommended to reduce the length by approximately 4–10 cm compared with the regular size.
