K2 Almanac Snowboard

K2 Almanac is a modern Volume Shift™ snowboard designed for riders who want to make the most of every day on the mountain. It combines the agility of a shorter board with the float and stability of significantly longer models, making it ideal for carving, powder riding, natural freestyle and exploring the entire resort every day. It is one of the most original models in the K2 collection, inspired by the Excavator and Party Platter boards while offering its own exceptionally versatile character.

The key element of the construction is Volume Shift™ technology, which makes the Almanac wider than conventional snowboards and designed to be ridden at a length 3–6 cm shorter than usual. The wider profile provides excellent float in powder and outstanding edge hold, while the shorter length delivers greater maneuverability and easier handling.

The Twin Combination Camber profile combines traditional camber between the bindings with rocker in the nose and tail. The result is dynamic pop, reliable edge hold and smooth turn-to-turn transitions, while retaining a forgiving feel in soft snow and during butters. Despite its directional character, the board maintains highly versatile freestyle capabilities.

Dynamic performance comes from the BAP Core, made from bamboo, aspen and paulownia. Bamboo increases spring and pop, aspen provides stability, and paulownia reduces the weight of the overall construction. The board is also equipped with Carbon Backbone™ – a pre-shaped carbon-fiber strip running from nose to tail that increases pop and improves energy transfer during ollies and dynamic turns.

The model uses a fast Sintered 4000 Base that absorbs wax very effectively and provides high speed even during long days on the mountain. The Hybritech™ construction reduces the board's weight, increases edge durability and improves the strength of the entire construction. An additional set of inserts allows the front binding to be set farther back, providing even more float when riding in deep snow.
