Dynastar M-Grand Mont Open is the highest level of ski touring, 50% ascent, 50% descent. Dynamic on the ascents thanks to the lightweight HYBRID CORE (Paulownia) construction, efficient on the descents thanks to the 3D PROFILE, straight sidewalls and CARBON fibers.
It was created for all skiers who are driven by curiosity and the pursuit of height gain, and especially for those who approach steep slopes with an ice axe in hand.
The ski's construction is based on a Hybrid Core—a blend of 300g/m³ paulownia wood and low-density polyurethane on the wood sides, which reduces the ski's weight by an average of 15%-20% compared to a poplar core. Hybrid Core technology provides a lightweight construction that provides a good snow feel when climbing and a smooth ride when descending.
The entire structure is reinforced with a hybrid blend of carbon and fiberglass, which offers a very effective strength-to-weight ratio, guaranteeing increased stability and ski-to-snow contact while maintaining an ultra-lightweight weight. Hybrid torsin box technology provides lateral stiffness and reinforcement to the ski, which increases skier comfort, stability, and their feel on the snow.
A sandwich construction with sidewalls in the center of the ski improves performance and precision. Thanks to the use of rectangular sidewalls, the skis offer excellent edge grip in technical terrain and confident handling on icy, hard, and windy trails.
The 3D profile facilitates ascents and improves turn initiation and agility during descents. The Sintered HD Base provides excellent glide in all ski conditions, making it easier and faster to reach the summit and a smooth descent. The 82mm waist width allows for proper floatation in powder, while the stiffness allows for descents over frozen snow.
Dedicated Dynastar M-Vertical 82 (DOLW109) skins are perfectly matched to the ski's geometry. Manufactured by Pomoca. (sold separately)
