BBB CoreCap for Presta Valves (BTI-165)

CoreCap is designed for threaded Presta valves with a removable valve core, both in inner tubes and tubeless systems. In practice, this means that the set is installed in place of the standard Presta core, creating an inflation point compatible with a standard Schrader head, as found on many floor pumps and at petrol stations. The manufacturer highlights that no adapters are required and that the product is fully compatible with threaded Presta valves with a removable core.

The purpose of the CoreCap design is to increase airflow and reduce common usability problems associated with Presta valves. This solution increases airflow by up to300 percentcompared with conventional solutions, resulting in faster inflation and easier pressure adjustment, especially when the tyre pressure is changed frequently in road and gravel tyres. In tubeless systems, the increased airflow is intended to reduce sensitivity to partial channel blockage caused by sealant, making it easier to top up the wheel in off-road conditions and during servicing.

CoreCap is also designed to simplify the initial seating of a tubeless tyre. In many cases, the tyre bead can be seated without using a compressor, thanks to the increased airflow during the initial inflation phase. In urban applications and on electric bicycles, the key benefit is the ability to inflate anywhere, including with a pump featuring a Schrader head, without the risk of damaging the delicate Presta core when connecting and disconnecting the head.
