BBB CableWrap Cable Protectors, 2 pcs. (BCB-90D)

BBB CableWrap Cable Protector (BCB-90D) is a practical accessory specifically designed to protect the bicycle frame’s paint from damage caused by rubbing derailleur cables. The problem of cables rubbing against the frame is particularly relevant in the case of derailleur cables, which often run along the down tube and remain in constant motion while shifting gears. This causes gradual paint wear, which not only spoils the bicycle’s appearance but can also lead to corrosion where the frame’s metal becomes exposed. The CableWrap rubber protectors create an effective protective barrier, eliminating direct contact between the cable and the frame.

Made of high-quality flexible rubber, the CableWrap protectors are specifically designed for derailleur cables with a diameter of 4 mm, ensuring a perfect fit and secure hold on the cable. Unlike the BCB-90B model, intended for 5 mm brake cables, this version is designed for the thinner cables used in derailleur systems. The flexibility of the material allows for easy installation without removing the cable – simply wrap the protector around the cable where it comes into contact with the frame. The rubber material is resistant to weather conditions and temperature changes, guaranteeing long-lasting protection regardless of the season and riding conditions.
